I think I will continue to bias upward toward the 99mV mark and see what happens. I plan to take it in steps, remeasuring voltages and plugging these values in the bias calculator just to see if the 70% bias value changes any. With my mind fixed at a bias point of something under 70mV for 6L6 tubes, a vision of melting tubes at 99mV bias kept entering my brain. This is all new territory for me as I have only recently begun draining caps and making a few of the mods suggested on this site (after months of reading everything I could get my hands on). This site has been like a text book and I have enjoyed reading the various posts. So far I have replaced the two troubling resistors that seem to heat up these boards (I replaced with 330 ohm), replaced the master volume pot with a 250K audio taper and disconnected the treble bypass on the reverb circuit (near the reverb pot). I am very pleased with the master pot replacement and the revebCalculating the Reverb Time of an Enclosure
Its masking partner and be freed again. As a drastic measurement tool you could use some widening or stereo expander (correlation). Automation becomes handy when only a part in the timeline is masked. If reverb could be synced to tempo this would be worth it on longer reverbs or delays.Gated Reverb - A setting where the reverb stays at one level over time and then suddenly shuts off. Often heard in snare drum sounds in the 80’s. Gated reverbs are good for keeping rhythmical content. Basically a gated reverb is two devices in one. A reverb and a gate. Reverb 70's effect, set reverb to pre fader, lower the original sound level fader, only the reverb signal will stay.Decay Settings: Choosing the most appropriate reverb treatment for a song can be surprisingly difficult, especially if you have hundreds of presets to choose from. So, instead of regarding reverb like the glue that holds the mix together, try adjusting its parameters (and in particular the decay time) while listening to the reverb return by itself. If the decay time is too long you'll hear a continuous mush of sound; if it's too short you'll scarcely hear it unless its level is turned right up. Somewhere in the middle you should find a setting that adds rhythmic interest to your song, without overpowering it, making the reverb work for its keep. This is also a useful technique when using several reverbs in a song, to make sure they complement each other.Pre-delay: No pre-delay? No problem! Some reverb plug-ins, from freeware favourites to tasty convolution types, don't offer pre-delay — a user-configurable gap before the onset of a reverb's early reflections and tail. It's useful to have, though, as it can contribute to the clarity and separation of individual voices and instruments in. Good for drums and vocals. You can get a bright Motown plate reverb sound from this one but its a one trick pony. It either works for the music or it doesn't depending on the song. Very cool because it doesn't add low end s**t to mixes. Very Gentle. Perfect reverb plugin for Audacity! It's also great for acoustic guitar and me and my friend use it Robinson Carvajal Feb 08 2017 (5 / 5) Great! Simple but abrangent reverb FX, my favorite reverb-plugin now! Love the way it sounds and I've used for a long time but still can't get my head around the way to adjust it. It's only got two knobs but they work in such a weird way. Simple but super cool sounding verb. This is definitely the best free reverb plugin out there. I use it all the time..
